Monday

Tasting notes:
Ok, we are so back - back to reality! Monday was a slow one. A working from home day that called for comfort and a low brain power outfit. I wore this jumper a couple of times this week and received a few messages on IG on where it came from. It’s COS but a few years old, so I cannot link it. The shade is ‘oyster’ - somewhere between a really light, cool grey and a beige. A greige if you will. Very easy to style, and a very cosy woolly jumper. While the grey is definitely a more classic tone, this* ARKET jumper is pretty similar in shape. It’s from the mens section and I have it in a few colour ways. (Also, spot the empty packet of Forest Feast dark chocolate almonds…)
Tuesday
On the menu:
Navy cotton v-neck jumper* (gifted)
Black leather heeled boots (similar*)
Tasting notes:
I’m not going to lie, I definitely found this first half of this week tricky to put outfits together. I have been well and truly in the January styling slump - constantly looking for new ways to wear my existing pieces - without much success… Tuesday I headed into the office in my usual uniform - jumper, jeans and boots. Over the festive break I picked up these brown jeans hoping I would feel a little ‘different’ in my standard uniform since the colour is a switch up from my usual blue wash denim. They did the trick!
Wednesday
On the menu:
Black leather bucket bag (similar*)
Tasting notes:
So I definitely cheated - this photo was from the week before but in my defence I wore the same outfit on Wednesday! I have to say that Pinterest has been serving some reallllllly good fur coat inspo recently. So when I saw that this ARKET faux number was in the January sale at 50% off, I knew I had to pounce. I love it as the statement piece in an outfit, alongside timeless basics like a white tee, blue denim and black leather loafers. I felt very Dakota Johnson - what’s not to love!
Thursday

Tasting notes:
On Wednesday night I had a little wardrobe clean up, so that I could actually see everything I have. That’s often the main issue when the ‘I have nothing to wear’ wave hits. Most of the time I cannot actually see everything in my closet (read: tiny London flat with very limited wardrobe space, so we gotta get creative which leads to great items of clothing being tucked out of sight!). After some rearrangements, I was able to get a little more clarity and put together some new outfits - even if they were super simple. New combinations with old friends (I basically wore Monday’s outfit but with shoes and a coat!). I kept Reva Luft advice (via one of Anna Newton ‘s recent SHOP YOUR WARDROBE posts) front and centre - keep it simple. It worked and my internet friends both here and on IG went mad for this look!
Friday

On the menu:
Tasting notes:
You know when that parcel arrives you have to wear the contents of it right away! That’s what happened when this gorgeous leopard print bag arrived on Friday. I let it do allllll the talking by using it as the point of interest on a very ‘me’ (read: basic) outfit. If you’re looking for ways to style your leopard print bag (or the print in general!), Sam Preston posted an excellent carousel of inspiration over on IG. I cannot wait to style this into spring too!
Saturday
On the menu:
Tasting notes:
While it’s been a denim heavy week (like most weeks, who am I kidding?!), I am happy to have at least rotated through various pairs of jeans and more notably, I managed to wear two of my more unusual washes - the brown & beige. I was very happy to see that the temperature was in the mid double digits on Saturday, and since I have Northern blood, that’s warm enough to get the ballet flats back out. We had a day of being mostly inside (see where we headed for lunch below!) so that also helped. I LOVED this colour palette. The brown, the beige, the black, and the burgundy bag - all the b’s! Just enough interest with the different textures & tones, but still fairly minimal. One I will be recreating.
Sunday
On the menu:
Black leather bucket bag (similar*)
Tasting notes:
And just like that, the end of my first week of taking outfit photos every day since November! Sunday was lush - a workout, followed by a walk to the flower market and ending with meeting friends at the pub. Really ideal stuff. I fully leant into my true minimalist self. Tee, jeans, ballet flats, car coat. All in very neutral colours. This is my bread and butter, my go to. I feel my absolute best in these no fuss ‘fits.
Thank you soooo much for coming back after my little break! I really hope to be more consistent this side of the new year. I appreciate you sticking around for when I do pop in and out. Let me know what you think to this week’s looks in the comments!

So happy to have you back!! And that brown fur jacket is something else!! Gorgeous on you.
Yay, so happy you’re back—every look was perfect, as always!
