Monday
On the menu:
Ecru straight leg denim* (gifted)
Tasting notes:
After 7384 days of rain, the sun came out, and it was mid double digits. And so, flip flop season officially opened on Monday (ok, it did swiftly close again for most of the rest of the week, but we’re moving in the right direction). There truly is no better in between outfit than jeans, a tee & flip flops. My recent leather jacket purchase added not only an extra layer for warmth (cannot wait to ditch it though), but also a cool additional texture into the mix. Looked great, felt great in this.
Tuesday
On the menu:
Light wash straight leg denim* (gifted)
Black slip on ballerinas (similar*)
Tasting notes:
I was in a rush to get to the office on Tuesday, so decided to play it safe with a simple v-neck and jeans. To swtich things up from my usual brown leather ballet flats, I got our the slip on suede babies. A cute detail for a very basic look. I love the balance of the skin showing through the v-neck and the skin from the top of the foot and heel - it creates a nice top and tail.
Wednesday
On the menu:
Tasting notes:
Wednesday was one of those ‘everything is going to feel too tight today’ kinda days. So I went for an elasticated waistband, hidden by an oversized button down. The look was pretty formal and needed to breathe a little. The ballet flats are such a soft leather with a decent amount of skin on show - so these helped. And to take the corporate edge off, and add a different kind of edge - the funnel neck leather jacket. I didn’t love how the outfit fell when I had the jacket on. There was a lot of material going on. But hey ho, for a first time outfit it wasn’t a bad attempt.
Thursday
On the menu:
Black leather sandals (similar*)
Tasting notes:
Consider this my spring uniform. A jumper, jeans & sandal combo - yep, we love it - and yep, I wear it every year. So this year, we’re switching it up with a simple tweak - the polo top. I like that I can undo a button or two to show some skin, similar to Tuesday, balancing out the open shoe choice. While I’m not a huge fan of matching shoes and bag, this works as its really minimal and clean. The cute little The Row dupe 90s bag with the leather sandals serves cool.
Friday
On the menu:
Black leather heeled ankle boots (similar*)
Tasting notes:
Post work on Friday I threw on a tee, jeans, boots and that jacket again to head to the a PR event - the Maebe Village (Molly Mae’s brand pop up). I loved the aesthetic & there were a few interesting pieces in the Beyond Seasons collection. I picked up this cinched, balloon sleeved blazer in a taupe, beige colour. I think it’ll be cool undone, but mainly done up as ‘jeans and a nice top’ candidate. Other than the aesthetics, I didn’t love the vibe of the event (ok, I went alone & didn’t know anyone so maybe that’s also a bit of a reason why). It just felt very posey (I get it, it’s about the content), and not very ‘come and feel, see the brand’ which is something I prefer at these types of events. I headed home with a custard donut and a cute top though, so deffo some wins!

Saturday
On the menu:
Green woven leather shoulder bag (similar*)
Tasting notes:
We didn’t really leave the house on Saturday. It was a pottering day. Post long run, I showered and got into a pretty great slouchy, comfy, but ‘I could leave the house looking like this if I needed to’ kind of outfit. These Weekday balloon joggers are just divine - so soft, so comfy. The postman arrived with this Vinted find and I actually really loved the green with this outfit, so will be saving this outfit for warmer days! With our flat move coming up and all the expenses that come along with that, I couldn’t justify a new Dragon Diffusion even though I have been lusting after a couple. But I spotted this dupe on Vinted for 1/10th of the price and decided I deserved it. A fun touch of colour in my spring/summer wardrobe.
Sunday
On the menu:
Tasting notes:
By Sunday all talks of spring being sprung had come to a grinding halt and the wool coat was back out and on. For an afternoon at a vintage furniture market I kept it simple - the usual outfit composition of jeans, tee & flats, but in a different colour palette to my go to. I really enjoyed this colour combo. A great example of mixing up different neutrals to achieve an interesting look without going out of your comfort zone.
As always, a mega thanks for getting this far! I really hope there was at least 1 outfit here that inspired you for the week ahead. Let me know in the comments if that’s the case! See you in the next one.

I, living in SE Eu where it's been sunny 15 C for about a month already, am truly impressed with anyone going out in flip flops (let alone combining them with sweates)! And I haven't seen them yet on the streets either! Vast majority of people are in sneakers, not even ballet flats yet :)😊
Jumper, jeans and flipflop season is my literal happy place. A rare joy!!!
