Tasting notes:
Easing into what was about to be a crazy busy week, I was craving comfort for a day working from home. I am loving an all white, or mix of white, cream, ecru etc. - all the shades - look at the moment. It feels very chic, very cool. For a mooch around the neighbourhood to get some much needed fresh air, I popped on my sunnies & black flip flops. Hair scraped back, simple jewellery. Bonus points for me managing to drink my iced latte without dripping any coffee on my outfit!
Tuesday
On the menu:
Tasting notes:
Tuesday I had a casual work event - those days where you just connect with your colleagues and reflect on all the cool stuff you’ve all achieved. The best! This felt like a good balance between laid back with the loose jeans and cardigan, but still ‘worky’ with the trench and ballet flats. Also, I feel like my hair grew all of a sudden?! Deffo down to my Champo Pitta Growth Serum - not an ad, just something I’m really seeing results from!
Wednesday
On the menu:
Tasting notes:
I was up at the crack of dawn for the 06:30 train to Newcastle for a day with some of my team up there. The office is really chill up there, so I knew I could lean into my usual laid back style. A cotton polo, jeans & ballet flats, finished off with my leather jacket made for a great travel & workshop outfit.
Thursday
On the menu:
Beige oversized shirt (similar*)
Tasting notes:
I was back in London for 09:45 on Thursday. If you saw me on the 07:01 out of Newcastle - no you didn’t. I headed straight from the train to the office, rewearing a look from the week before (if you follow me on IG you’ll have seen this one on stories). I like that its smart (because shirt?!) but casual (because tee & jeans?!). It did the job, but I have to say I am struggling with office outfits in general at the moment. If you have any smart casual inspo, please do send my way! Post office, falling asleep on the way home, I headed to M&S for the choc cone ends that I have been addicted to since I tried them a couple of weeks back. These are single handedly responsible for my jeans feeling a little tighter than usual at the mo.

Friday
On the menu:
Tasting notes:
Friday was a work from home day, and after 10 hours sleep I was ready to get the last of the meetings and emails done for the week, and head out and enjoy some sunshine. It was the first time I wore this Uniqlo top. I absolutely loved it when I tried on in store, but just haven’t gravitated towards it, until I tried it on with white linen pants and really loved the vibe. We headed to the cinema after work, and en route I popped into Boots to pick up the Living Proof Full Shampoo*. Let’s see if this is any good for my fine hair. I find that now that it has some length to it, the weight of it often leaves it looking pretty limp. Hoping this will help!

Saturday

On the menu:
Blue baby tee* (similar blue available)
Tasting notes:
After an early morning run, we headed to Broadway Market for coffee & breakie. I usually really look forward to getting dressed at the weekend, but I was kinda in zombie mode after a really hectic week. So, I literally pulled out the first bits I saw. The result was cute though, and way more colourful than usual. P.s. this Uniqlo baby tee might be my fave tee of the summer… In the evening we headed out for a couple of drinks and to see one of Leo’s favourite bands. I decided to wear my newly acquired Zara blouse*. You’ll have seen I have the khaki one too, worn in my last post in Madrid.

Sunday
On the menu:
Tasting notes:
Today has been a pretty chill one. We had our new dining table delivered, and had a nice slow morning mooching on the canal, then home for lunch. This called for a very relaxed outfit. I picked up this linen henley top at Zara last week - it’s so comfy, very pyjama like, but I think it works well with denim & cotton pants as a light summer top. I will admit, when I put it on I did think it was giving Mose from The Office U.S. IYKYK lol. Sleeves rolled up, and a loose tuck into my jeans, and I really liked the overall look. Third pic below is my current set up watching the World Cup and writing this up - a gorge Sunday eve.

Thank you so much for reading, and for your patience since my last post. I hope you have a wonderful end of the weekend, and start of a fresh week!

Loved all your outfits. Xx
