The Look Buffet #7
Lost my mojo at the beginning of the week, but by the end the fits were fitting...

Tasting notes:
It’s giving ‘got home late the night before, don’t wanna get up, certainly don’t wanna get dressed’. I left the apartment once, and it was just to get in the lift to take this photo - you are welcome. I’m actually not sure how I feel about this top… It’s just a tad on the long side, so not the easiest for any kind of tucking in sitch. I will continue to try to make it work, and I think with a loose jean here it’s ok untucked. Why? Because of the short sleeve showing some skin. I think this helps to soften the oversized on oversized. Ideally I would have worn a ballet flat when wearing both a loose top and bottom, but come on, it’s freezing. Cashmere socks from here on out.
Tuesday
On the menu:
Tasting notes:
The light in this lift is not flattering for the top of my head. It was definitely hair wash day, but it wasn’t that bad. There is truly not much to say about this outfit. It is boring, just like my Tuesday was. Not the vibe.
Wednesday

On the menu:
Beige padded trench coat (similar*)
Navy lambswool roll neck sweater (similar*)
Dark wash tapered jeans (similar*)
Tasting notes:
Ok on Wednesday I feel like I got into the swing of getting dressed again, finally. The first outing for my Bottega Veneta loafers!!!!!!! See them up close here:
These were my 30th birthday treat to myself and wow I am so so so in love. They are just divine. This shade of brown (fondente) is absolute perfection. It pairs so well with black and navy. The buckle detail - wow. I am a sucker for a high end leather good - be it a bag or shoe - always have been, always will be. But these are sprinkled in and amongst high street pieces. And low and behold the coat is from Primark via Vinted (never worn, a tenner). I love the cord detailing on the cuff and collar. Get you a girl who can do both!!!
Thursday
On the menu:
Black tailored trousers (similar*)
Tasting notes:
I’m a jeans girl through and through, but the past few weeks I have been tiring a little of my go to ‘uniform’. So on Thursday I had a dig around in my wardrobe, and decided to pull out this old pair of black tailored trousers. I actually ended up loving this look because of the smart bottom half - trouser + loafer - with the contrast of the laid back chunky wool knit. Later in the day I threw on my & Other Stories navy wrap coat* to head out. These trousers will be seeing the light of day more often!

And after 1 day off the jeans, she was happy to get them back on lol. I’m loving a v-neck chunky knit with a white tee popping through. Credit where credit’s due, I took full inspo from Anna Katinka von der Fehr for this look and really liked the way it turned out! It’s giving Grandpa and I’m here for it. I think a belt with a gold buckle could have added a lil something something here, especially as it would have tied in quite nicely with my lovely Lié Studio Vera earrings (hubby did well on the bday present front!). So, I will definitely try this out next time I wear this outfit (yes, we’re proud outfit repeaters round here!).
Saturday
On the menu:
Tasting notes:
I was up and out first thing for a brunch with my lovely Lea, and boy it was chillllly out there. I wrapped up in some current favourite layers. A special shout out to my new J. Crew bucket bag! This was a lovely birthday present from my grandparents. It’s been on my wishlist for so long, so I am really glad to add this timeless classic piece into my wardrobe. It fits my 13” MacBook, and plenty of other bits. It does only have one strap so I wouldn’t overload it, and has a tie closing rather than a zip. It’s really gorgeous quality and will be well used and loved in my wardrobe forever!
Sunday
On the menu:
Leopard print ballerinas (similar*)
Tasting notes:
Ending the week on an outfit high - navy and leopard print - what’s not to love?! It’s been a cosy day on the sofa doing some life admin with Harry Potter on in the background, because ‘tis the season! I’ve been pretty productive with planning the move to London which is getting close and VERY exciting. Main update - we have found somewhere to live, which is just a huge milestone ticked off! Now, we are in the process of deciding what to take/sell from our Berlin home. A lot to work out, but all lovely stuff and feeling very grateful.
